The Sakrebyle Elephant Camp is a forest camp located in the state of Karnataka, designed to train captive elephants. Situated just 14 km away from Shimoga on the Shimoga-Thirthahalli Road, it is regarded as the best elephant training camp in the state and is maintained by the Karnataka Forest Department. The camp is a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts and tourists, providing a unique opportunity to observe these majestic animals up close.

The elephant interaction was really good

Stay was nice.But one thing should be taken care of.NON VEG provided only at dinner.While booking it was cleared that both lunch and dinner will have NON VEG.The property is very well maintained.Staff and manager was very nice in giving information.The elephant interaction was really good.

My first stay at JLR. The property is very well maintained. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The manager at the property is also helpful. Sakrebyle has a lot of activities for kids which was a major relief considering that I was travelling with my 3 year old son. The best part of the resort is the elephant interaction. Although the elephants are given bath and the interaction is on the other side of the street, the Mahouts bring the elephants near the stay which makes it convenient for the kids to get the view of the elephants. The food is tasty and has adequate options. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling with kids.

BEST place to stay

One of the BEST place to stay. Everything is awesome. The stay, food and service. Icing on the cake was the elephant interaction. Time very well spent.
