Located on the serene banks of the River Kaveri, near the Sangam, Galibore is a picturesque destination that is roughly 100 kilometers from Bangalore. The area is renowned for its abundance of Mahseer fish, making it a popular spot for fishing enthusiasts.

Visitors can enjoy a breathtaking sunset while taking a coracle ride and may even spot crocodiles, otters, and other wildlife along the way. Wild elephants also frequent the river banks to drink water, adding to the area s natural charm. Additionally, a great barbecue corner is available for guests.

Awesome place with peace

It was a awesome place with green surroundings and full view of nature. Tents for living were clean and comfy. Kaveri river flowing around the tents. Food provided was really tasty and home like. Staff was really friendly and provided amenities on time. The only problem we had was reaching to the camp because the last 9 kilometres of the ride is a bumpy Road which is in between the jungle. We would love to visit this place again.

Weekend Rest

One can get away from the city and enjoy the nature.There are no mobile networks too at this place which makes it more peaceful.The place is filled with hospitality and generous.The galibore team is really great.We reached there by 11:30 AM,had our lunch and headed to coracle ride.You can spot lots of crocodiles in the river.Evening there was barbecue in the banks of Kaveri River.Next day we had fun going to the nature walk at 6:00 AM.Not much activities but you can rest and enjoy the whole weekend.

Wonderful place

Drove down with family and friends for a quick weekend get away Location - deep inside the forest and amazing Drive to location - mainly kanakapura road but last mile is bumpy as its forest Service at resort - fantastic Food - Karnataka style but yummy and 2 non veg dishes which are tasty. Barbeque in the evening on the shores of the river cauvery and quite nice setting Overall - 5/5. Excellant service

Nice experience

Went to Galibore more on a whim, on the way back from Bangalore. This place is a heaven send. Takes about 3 hrs from bangalore. The last 8 kms (as mentioned in the other reviews) is a dirt/rock/sand/dead branches track. Low ground clearance vehicles are going to find it pretty tough here. But this is the romance of the place. Its in the middle of no where, a perfect place to get lost. I saw about 45 different bird species in a day, which included two black eagle fighting for a catch on the firver bank. Also saw about 6 crocodile running into the river as we approached them by coracle. The naturalist there is very knowledgable. The staff are super courteous and extend every help needed. The food is simple home style and sumptuos. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The evening by the river was a grand sunset performance of light, by mother nature herself. Go to Galibore for a calm and quite getaway. With the facilities there, im sure a family interested in nature will also have fun. This is a rare place for people to visit, hope its maintained as it is and nothing is added/reduced from what it is already. I know i will visit every year at least.
